About Us

At New Horizon Preschool, we partner with families to lay a strong, Christ-centered foundation for life and learning. Each class we offer is thoughtfully designed to nurture the whole child spiritually, socially, emotionally, and academically, recognizing that every child is uniquely created by God.
 
Through purposeful, age-appropriate activities, children develop essential skills such as language, problem-solving, personal responsibility, and healthy relationships.
 
Our classrooms come alive with hands-on learning, creative play, music, and movement, creating an engaging environment where children feel safe, loved, and excited to learn.
 
Rooted in Christian values, our days are filled with meaningful moments that build confidence, spark curiosity, and help children grow in their understanding of God’s love, setting the stage for a lifetime of faith, learning, and success.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a faith-based and academically excellent curriculum for young children. We believe that every child is uniquely created, and we strive to cultivate an environment of fun and playful learning to engage every type of learner.

We work cooperatively with families to help each child establish kindergarten readiness and a firm foundation in their relationship with Christ.

Meet Our Teachers

Pastor Joel Wolfe

Executive Director

Hello, I am Pastor Joel and I am so excited to be the Executive Director for New Horizon Preschool. I provide overall vision, direction and pastoral oversight to our program. Raising up this amazing generation of children is so important to me. I have been on the ground floor of developing this program and I am excited about what we do. 
 
As a mother of four grown children and the Mimi of nine grandchildren I love children! I also love the process of opening up the minds of these little ones with the truth and wisdom of God and his creation. I love watching your little ones thrive and grow in a loving, organized environment that fosters maturation of their minds, spirits as well as their ability to cooperate in the group settings. The hope of our future is in our kids!
 
Outside of New Horizon Preschool I wear many hats. I am a pastor, an RN and I love to spend time as a Mimi. I love to garden, read, hike and adventure. But my favorite time of day is welcoming these sweet preschoolers as they come to school each day. The looks on their faces makes everything worth it.

Miss Kyla

Preschool Director & Fours Class Lead Teacher

I am honored to serve as Director of New Horizon Preschool and Lead Teacher. My journey into education began after studying French at Seattle University with a heart for international missions. The Lord led me to South Korea, where I taught English and discovered a deep love for teaching and walking alongside children as they grow and encounter the love of the Father.
 
Through my experience in English language acquisition and cross cultural education, I have developed a passion for helping children build strong foundations in language, literacy, and confidence. I love inspiring a joy for reading and learning, and I look forward to bringing rich stories and meaningful moments into the classroom.
It is a true privilege to partner with families as we help each child grow academically, socially, and spiritually, discovering both the joy of learning and the goodness of God.

Mrs. Colleen

Threes Class Lead Teacher

Hello, my name is Colleen, and I’m delighted to be one of the teachers at New Horizon Preschool for the past 6 years. I’m passionate about nurturing young minds and watching them bloom as they discover the world around them.
 
My family has been part of the New Horizon Church community for 11 years, and we feel so grateful to call this our church home. I have been involved in children’s ministry for 9 years and continue to serve in Kingdom Kids and support church events. It is a joy to invest in the children and families of our community in so many ways.
 
I absolutely love helping children learn new things, cheering them on through challenges, and celebrating their growth and achievements. There is nothing quite like seeing the spark of understanding in a child’s eyes. It is truly an honor to partner with families and be part of each child’s early learning journey.

Mrs. Sheila

Fives Class Lead Teacher

My name is Ms. Sheila, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher for 5-and 6-year-olds teacher at New Horizon. My passion is creating a fun, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can experience the joy of learning.
I bring 8 years of experience as a Pre-K teacher and a deep love for early childhood education. One of my greatest joys is watching those “aha!” moments when a child grasps a new concept. I especially love fostering a lifelong love of reading and encouraging curiosity about the world. My goal is to inspire confidence, enthusiasm, and a strong foundation for future success in each of my students.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy crocheting, baking, gardening, spending time in nature, and volunteering at my church. My greatest joy comes from time with Jesus and my family.
