About Us
New Horizon Preschool wants to help your child get excited about learning and become a successful student for years to come!
Our classes are designed with every learning level in mind to challenge your child in the areas they need developed. Our interactive mixed age group fosters responsibility and mentor-ship in older children while younger ages are presented with a desire to learn and grow in a cooperative environment.
Your child will be provided a number of hands-on learning experiences such as planting, harvesting, and science projects related to class themes. Lots of music and movement will enrich transitions and learning times.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a faith-based and academically excellent curriculum for young children. We believe that every child is uniquely created, and we strive to cultivate an environment of fun and playful learning to engage every type of learner.
We work cooperatively with families to help each child establish kindergarten readiness and a firm foundation in their relationship with Christ.
Meet Our Teachers
Miss Taylor
Director and Pre-K Teacher
Hi, my name is Taylor, and I am the Lead Teacher and Director here at New Horizon Preschool. I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible community and to have the opportunity to guide our little learners on their educational journey.
My goal at New Horizon Preschool is to create a stimulating, engaging, and interactive environment that nurtures the growth and development of each child. With a deep specialization in early childhood education, I have had the privilege of working in a variety of childcare settings over the years, which has only deepened my passion for teaching and empowering young minds.
I believe that education goes beyond academics; it’s about building a strong foundation of character and faith. By incorporating biblical principles into our curriculum, my aim is to raise up strong children of faith—children who are bold, confident, deeply loved, and equipped with emotional intelligence. These qualities will not only serve them in the classroom but will also empower them to make a lasting impact on others as they grow.
I’m excited for the coming school year and look forward to pouring into the next generation. Through our hands-on, play-filled learning environment, I believe we can instill confidence in our children that extends far beyond the classroom, helping them to shine brightly in all areas of life.

Pre-K 5’s Teacher
Hello! My name is Dawn, and I am the Kindergarten teacher here at New Horizon Preschool. I’m excited to bring a love of learning and the love of Jesus to this next generation!
With a background in elementary education and administration, I’ve spent the last five years in private Christian education, working with students from preschool through 8th grade. I’m passionate about fostering deep emotional intelligence, a joy of learning, and a strong knowledge of God’s love in young hearts.
As a Pacific Northwest native, I love exploring God’s creation outdoors. I’ve been happily married for 20 years and have four wonderful children, ages 8 to 17. I’m thrilled to partner with parents in their children’s education this school year!
Mrs. Colleen
3’s Class Teacher
Hello, my name is Colleen, and I’m delighted to be one of the teachers at New Horizon Preschool. I’m passionate about nurturing young minds and watching them bloom as they discover the world around them.
I’m blessed to be married to an amazing man who is soon to become a nurse. Together, we have two beautiful daughters who bring so much joy to our lives. Our family has been a part of the New Horizon Church community for the past five years, and we feel incredibly grateful to call this our church home.
With several years of experience in childcare, this will be my third year at New Horizon Preschool, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue this journey. I absolutely love helping children learn new things, cheering them on when they face challenges, and celebrating their growth and achievements. There’s nothing quite like seeing the spark of understanding in a child’s eyes or the joy on their face when they accomplish something new.

Mrs. Heather
Assistant Teacher
Hello! My name is Heather, and I have the joy of being Mrs. Colleen’s Assistant Teacher on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I’m absolutely thrilled to be part of the New Horizon Preschool family again this year!
Last year, I had the pleasure of stepping into the classroom as a substitute teacher and assistant toward the end of the school year. Those experiences deepened my love for teaching, and I’m excited to be more involved this year.
Beyond teaching, I’ve spent the last four years as an Individual Provider, where I’ve developed a deep appreciation for personalized care. My career journey has also taken me through over eight years in radiology, which gave me a unique perspective on care and attention to detail. Additionally, my experience as a nanny has further enriched my understanding of children’s needs and how to nurture their growth.
I’ve been happily married to my wonderful husband for 10 years, and together, we are blessed with two amazing children—a lively 5-year-old and a thoughtful 18-year-old. Watching my own children grow has been a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from seeing young ones develop their unique personalities.
There’s something amazing about witnessing children as they explore, learn, and blossom into their own. It’s an honor to be part of that journey, and I’m eager to see what this school year holds. I look forward to all the wonderful memories we’ll create together!
Mrs. Breanna
3’s Class Teacher’s Assistant
Hey there! My name is Breanna, and I am thrilled to be joining New Horizon Preschool as Mrs. Colleen’s assistant teacher. I’ll be working with our wonderful 3’s students on Mondays and Tuesdays, and I couldn’t be more excited to start this journey with them.
With five years of experience in childcare, this will be my second year as an assistant teacher, and I am beyond excited to grow alongside these amazing kids. There’s something truly special about being part of their learning journey—seeing the light in their eyes when they discover something new, and being right there to cheer them on as they take on new challenges.
I absolutely love working with kids and being their biggest supporter. Encouraging them to try new things and celebrating their successes is what makes this work so rewarding for me.
I’m really looking forward to this upcoming school year and can’t wait to connect with all the incredible kids we have here at New Horizon Preschool. It’s going to be a fantastic year filled with learning, growth, and lots of smiles!
